JESUS + NOTHING=EVERYTHING
“Rooted In Christ”

3 PARTS TO THIS BIG GOSPEL
I) IT IS MYSTERIOUS.
“I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.” Colossians 1:25-29(NIV)
The Gospel of God’s love is for all.
Christ in you the Hope of Glory!
“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.” Colossians 2:2-4(NIV)
“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:17-19(NLT)
II) IT IS LIBERATING.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.” Colossians 2:6-10(NIV)
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let your selves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)
III) IT IS FINAL.
1) Dead man.
“I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” (Jeremiah 31:34)
2) Debt owed.
“I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. Hebrews 8:12(NLT)
3) Disarmed the Devil.
