October is Domestic Violence (DV) Awareness month and the Hope Covenant Church AVA (Advocacy for Victims of Abuse) Ministry is sponsoring an awareness event on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.

This event is open to all men, women and youth and will include representatives from various local DV agencies that provide services, education and information for those who are or have been impacted by DV.

The theme for this event is "Domestic Violence From All Points of View."  There will be guest speakers to tell their personal stories; representatives from various community agencies including the Bikers Against Child Abuse to provide resources and information about their services. 

Free breakfast will be served!

The purpose of this event is to make people aware how prevalent domestic violence is and that it happens in Christian families too!
