A Word From Efrem
A Word from Efrem, PSWC Superintendent
As we enter a new year, it is a great time to sit for a moment in between thankfulness and expectation. As I communicated with one of our pastors, we were able to celebrate the number of people who came to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during the Christmas services. I could sense in this pastor’s excitement a great expectation of what is to come.
The PSWC staff also brings great expectation to 2013 with a desire for greater resourcing of pastors and churches. We do this work under the missional priorities of:
- Healthy and Missional Churches
- Cross Cultural and ReconciliationCompetencies
- Pastoral Health and Innovation
These priorities take on life through the launching of new initiatives and the strengthening of existing ones. In 2013 we will launch a pilot-initiative to provide a more holistic approach to pastoral development. The initiative will involve facilitated peer learning groups meeting monthly for prayer, peer monitoring, and resourcing. Each group will have a trained facilitator who will also provide one-on-one coaching between group sessions. We have already trained a group of facilitators through The Leadership Connection. If you would like to support this particular initiative, I would love to talk with you.
Please join me in praying that these great expectations would lead to life changing testimonies.
